Is team basketball overrated?

Unlike baseball and football where scoring is always low, in basketball the best player has more of an impact on the game on both ends of the floor. One of the things that hurt the pistons is that they don’t have that go-to player like lebron james or tim duncan that can impose their will on a game during crunch time. The pistons just don’t seem to play well in close games in the playoffs as when they win they always have to win by a lot. As good as jordan’s bulls were, they wouldn’t have won most of their titles if it weren’t for jordan’s 4th quarter heroics such as his last second shot over the jazz.
